3 Extensions for the Geometric Solids

In previous posts I  shared the first presentation of the Geometric Solids, and the bases for the Geometric Solids, and today we will go a little further with three extensions for this sensorial material.

The first extension involves matching each solid with its corresponding two-dimensional image, for which we will need a set of cards as you see in the photos. I have two sets, one in English that you can download in this post by The Helpful Garden, and one in Spanish that you can download in this post by Manualidades Educativas (also available in Catalan / Valencian).

The second extension consists in looking for real objects that have the same shape as each one of the Geometric Solids and pair  them.

And the third extension consists in matching the solids with images of real objects; the cards you see in the picture can be downloaded in the same post by Manualidades Educativas that I have mentioned before, they are great! This extension is more difficult because it is the most abstract of the three, actually Alejandro matched some of the cards and then he said he’d rather do other things, so we will return to this activity in a few weeks or months.
